By shopping with Buy Food with Plastic India, you are doing much more than purchasing a product. Every contribution directly supports our mission: turning plastic waste into nutritious meals and creating opportunities for communities in need.

We are part of the global Buy Food with Plastic initiative, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, and active in India, Nicaragua, and Ghana. In India, we organise community events where locals can exchange plastic bottles for a freshly prepared hot meal. Alongside, we run educational workshops for children, youth, and mothers, empowering them with knowledge about sustainability, environmental awareness, and entrepreneurship.

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed with Buy Food with Plastic India (hereinafter referred to as “the Seller”). The contract language is English.
All deliveries, services, and offers are based exclusively on these Terms and Conditions, even if not explicitly agreed again. By placing an order, the Buyer accepts these conditions. Any general terms and conditions of purchase by the Buyer are not valid unless confirmed in writing by the Seller.

2. Offer and Conclusion of Contract

All products displayed in the online shop are non-binding offers. An order becomes binding for the Seller only after written confirmation. Images, descriptions, and measurements are for reference and do not represent guaranteed characteristics unless clearly stated.
If, after confirmation, a product cannot be delivered due to reasons beyond the Seller’s control, the Buyer has the right to withdraw from the order. Any payments already made will be refunded.

3. Prices

The prices stated in the order confirmation are valid at the time of purchase. Prices are displayed in CHF. As a tax-exempt non-profit association, the Seller does not charge VAT.
Shipping costs, customs duties, and any additional charges are not included in the product price and must be covered by the Buyer, unless otherwise specified. All packages are handed over to the shipping partner (e.g., Swiss Post or other carriers) ready for dispatch.

4. Delivery and Service Times

Delivery times and dates are non-binding unless explicitly confirmed in writing. They depend on the availability of products and the timely supply from our partners and manufacturers.
Orders will be dispatched once the full payment is received.

5. Inspection and Complaints

Buyers are requested to check the goods immediately upon receipt.

• Visible defects or quantity differences must be reported to the Seller in writing on the day of delivery.
• Hidden defects must be reported within 4 days of receiving the goods.

If no timely notification is received, the goods shall be considered accepted. Refunds or exchanges cannot be guaranteed in such cases.

6. Transfer of Risk

The risk passes to the Buyer once the package is handed over to the shipping service provider. If delivery is delayed or becomes impossible for reasons beyond the Seller’s control, the risk transfers to the Buyer upon notification of readiness for dispatch.

7. Warranty

Warranty claims are excluded in cases of improper use, storage, or handling of the products, as well as damage caused by third parties. Normal wear and tear and consumables/accessories are not covered. Warranty claims are only valid for the original Buyer and are not transferable.

8. Retention of Title

All goods remain the property of the Seller until full payment is received.

9. Copyright

All rights to content, concepts, designs, images, and other materials on this website remain the property of Buy Food with Plastic India or the specifically named rights holders. Any use beyond personal purposes requires prior written consent.
